As part of the nationwide "Green Jobs Now" Day of Action, the 1Sky Washington campaign helped organize events in Bellevue and Bremerton urging candidates and elected officials to become leaders on advancing climate solutions and building an inclusive green economy for our state, and the nation. The enthusiasm and energy was palpable – people are ready for action and 1Sky Washington is helping make their voices heard. 

Eastside Residents Say:  “We’re READY for Green Jobs Now!”
Community members, business leaders, moms, and kids all gathered to send a message to our elected officials and legislative candidates: We’re READY for strong climate action and green jobs now!! At the event, David Allen, Vice President of McKinstry Company discussed the sustainable approach to the Bellevue Towers Project and the resulting green job opportunities. Patrick Neville, with the WA Apollo Alliance, discussed the opportunities to prepare people for good, family-wage jobs in a clean energy economy. Then, we all gathered for this photo!
