You've heard about "green" industries, businesses, and jobs, but what does that really mean?

Come find out at the Green Expo!

Featuring:

  • Energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies, and their components
  • Low-carbon, recycled, and sustainable materials
  • Hybrid and plug-in vehicles; Industrial and building designs, processes and efficiencies
  • Training and apprentice programs for blue collar and white collar workers that are the "green-collar" jobs

Who should come?

The Expo will focus on bringing together individuals, companies, civic associations and public institutions that share goals to expand renewable energy resources and support new programs to introduce young people and incumbent workers to "green-collar" career opportunities.

October 10 is a state education “in-service day” when K-12 educators participate in off-campus learning activities. K-12 educators and career counselors will be invited with the goals of strengthening K-12 partnerships with the Puget Sound Industrial Excellence Center, the regions’ green business community, and to engage students and other teachers in conversations about “green-collar” jobs and educational pathways.
