We believe that Washington can’t wait for solutions.

Cascade Climate Network

The CCN is the regional northwest network of colleges, universities and young people working on solutions to climate change both on their campuses and in their communities.

Cascadia Green Building Council

Cascadia Green Building Council's mission is to promote the design, construction and operation of buildings in Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Alaska that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live, work and learn. 1Sky Washington is the kind of leadership required by a diverse coalition of organizations to tackle head on the challenges of climate change - we are thrilled to support the initiative and lend our expertise in green building.

Citizens Climate Lobby

The Citizens Climate Lobby seeks to create the political will for a sustainable climate, with a focus on convincing our elected representatives to take action. 1Sky Washington is doing at the state level with the CCL is doing at the federal level. It is a natural extension for our CCL chapter in Port Townsend to want to do both.   

Climate Dialogues

The Climate Dialogues is a network of concerned citizens working to build the political will for real solutions to climate change. Starting from dialogue and moving to action, we take  an inclusive, non-partisan, science-based approach to creating policy change.  Check out their website at www.climatedialogues.org

Community Energy Solutions

It is becoming increasingly obvious that our reliance on carbon-based energy has become untenable.  In communities across the country and the world, people are stepping forward and taking action. This is happening to such a degree that we believe that, while the problem is global in scope, the solutions will often be profoundly local. Our focus is to work with communities to create renewable energy systems that will be of direct benefit to them. We see the efforts of 1 Sky Washington is an important means to let people know what we and other organizations are doing.

CoolMom.org

CoolMom.org brings busy moms into the climate action network through education, lifestyle change, and by supporting policies that mitigate global climate change. An important part of our work occurs at the grassroots level, with community-based activism in neighborhood CoolMom groups. Local groups share ideas, take action, and have fun fighting climate change together! Check out their website www.coolmom.org

Earth Ministry

As people of faith, we are called to care for “the least of these."  It is the poor, marginalized, and powerless, human and non-human, who will bear the greatest burden of environmental degradation and climate change. The plight of the powerless is the plight of all of us; our work at Earth Ministry is to stand in protection of the most vulnerable in God’s good creation.  We are proud to partner with the 1Sky Washington campaign.

Olympic Energy Systems, Inc

Olympic Energy Systems a system development firm based on the North Olympic Peninsula in the USA.  Our company provides expertise and support as an advocate, architect, and consultant to clients considering or adopting renewable energy systems - solar electric, solar hot water, wind power, hydro power, and other systems. We joined 1 Sky Washington because the solutions to energy and environment issues require a non-partisan approach, with legislative action a result of populist effort with consideration of the viewpoints and experiences of those from many walks of life.

Power Trip Energy is a general contracting firm composed of capable individuals dedicated to improving the future of our community and our state through the use of renewable energy technologies.  We currently specialize in the design and installation of grid-tied PV and solar thermal systems in Western Washington.  Our company supports the 1sky campaign because if climate change and environmental issues are brought to the forefront it will create economic growth in our communities and our country.
